Book on Trafficking is done

It's been roughly 1 1/2 years since I started the research project on sex trafficking and it's finally come to fruition. I can't begin to tell you how much I have learned not only about the subject, but about what it takes to make something of this depth with other people involved.

The project originally started with a photo concept that I had thought I would put a few statistics next to hoping to raise a little awareness. But when I got into research it was clear that there was so much more to communicate on the subject than just a few disturbing highlights.

For me it was very tough finding people that would pose for this, most couldn't get passed the idea of "sex trafficking" and then ears shut. Even an illustrator I was in talks with backed out because of the dark nature of the illustrations (which aren't in the book).

Okay I get it, it's a pretty depressing subject when you get right down to it. Yet I had to persist. It only took thinking about other human beings enslaved and being destroyed on a daily basis, physically, mentally and spiritually.

So with that long journey coming to a close I decided to make the book FREE for people to download. I want people to get the information they need. I didn't want to just hit people with grim facts and walk away with a smile on my face. That is why the last few chapters in the book focus on the solutions, personally for one's family and on up to what society can do.

The book isn't meant to be an end-all. It's a living breathing subject. Concepts and solutions can and should be expanded upon. All of the statistics will change, but a lot of the core information in the latter half of the book will remain the same. So while I throw out grim facts in the beginning, I ended the book with more than hope, but a positive direction and action one can take to ensure their families don't get ensnared into such a life-threatening scenario.

You don't have to read the book from the beginning, only if you want the information on the subject. Feel free to skip around, go straight to the latter half of the book and read about how to protect yourself. Then read why. Or perhaps you already know.

A big thank you, once again, to those who assisted on this project. You know who you are, some of you are listed in the front of the book.
