March Against Monsanto - Seattle

May 25, 2013  •  2 Comments

In my opinion, Monsanto is one of the most evil corporations on Earth. They have a very colorful history of spreading disease and deformities through their "products". Today they have bullied their way to the top and virtually own the US government, FDA and USDA with the exception of a few people.

In 2007 Barack Obama, while on the campaign trail for presidency promised to label GMO foods if elected. By 2010 he appointed former Monsanto-man Michael R Taylor (is there ever such a thing as former?) to Deputy Commissioner over Food of the FDA. Conflict of interest? You bet. But so many politicians are on the take that apparently this is allowed to happen in the United States. Earlier this year Obama signed into law something which had a Monsanto Protection Act within it giving Monsanto an "above the law" where they need not be accountable for their poison. Needless to say, this hasn't gone over well by the people who are awake enough to realize what giving a corporation (never mind one with a proven track record that rivals the Nazi doctors), carte blanche.

Slightly off-topic, but it is this utter corruption in the United States that has caused so many Americans to begin rising up against the tyranny of the corporations and their puppet men, the public appointed politicians. This is perhaps what has spurred the Department of Homeland Security to arm itself.

But this is not the case in other parts of the world where Monsanto has been shut out. I've heard but am not privy to the inside docs (obviously) that Monsanto has hired Blackwater, a private military contractor to "investigate" [and likely intimidate] those other countries into compliance. And why shouldn't a US based company be able to hire former military turned mercenaries to handle the riff raff in other countries? Monsanto can certainly afford it.

So far the list of places Monsanto is banned keeps growing but the US falls on deaf ears. It appears many at home are getting fat on the poisoning of the population.

Today's rally began with songs and words at Westlake and ended at the Gates Foundation where Billy has been key to pushing GMOs on third world nations. You wouldn't think he'd want to kill those people off but that's exactly the long-term result of GMOs. Unfortunate that a billionaire can be so blinded to something so evil. But then again, is he?

Here are some photos from the days event:

The big question is, if Monsanto's GMO products are so safe then what don't they label them? We're not a stupid populace. More and more are turning to organic, the only place left where GMOs don't exist. But why can't the majority of people at least KNOW what they are putting in their bodies?

If it's anything like the safety of Agent Orange to the Vietnamese, you can bet the fight isn't over. We won't stop. Ever.

Many more images here. Find yourself if you were there!

In short:

Eat local, eat organic. Monsanto is evil.
